Encoding from Divx Source, Change the GOP Structure?

Ok I have Animatrix on a DIvx file, now I tested with the normal KVCD Template and the video looks fine. DO I need to change the GOP Structure to the one given in the best script forum? Or this is useles couse the source is Divx and the previous ripper have already fixed all those anime problems?
