Doesn't work with AviSynth 2.08. Neither by saving as "Save project", or as "Save project (Old Format)"

hi guys.. TGIF
* did DVD2AVI go GNU (open source)
* or, is it still being updated and so on, by the creator ??
I ask becuase.. isn't there a 1.85 version from last year or so
and, now yet another version is v1.77.4
Kwag.. have ya tried older versions of TMPG ??
Also, I thought that DVD2AVI (each version) came w/ an updated VFAPI
so's to work w/ TMPG ?? ?? ??

The sources are under GNU license. Quote:

Last version by the original developer was 1.77.3 Quote:

Both versions are hacks. Both are non-official versions. Quote:

No. Quote:

Up to 1.76, it's the same API. The structure of the project file changed in 1.77.x, and that's why we can't use AviSynth anymore with the latest versions of DVD2AVI. But 1.76 works just fine

Kwag..
Ok, thanks. Anyhows.. I always use v1.76
.. another good reason to develop an new frameserver type mechanism
..for those non-compatible formats floating around the web. Well, I'm
currently looking into developing a frameserving type mechanism. So..
you never know when something NEW just might pop up in your window.
But, of course, you ALWAYS got your 's wide open, he he..

Hello gents:
I am reading as many posts as possible prior to re-embark into KVCD's arena . Just a note: I learned, via kwag's cd test, that the only settings that my machine can read are;
kvcd-ulbr, kvcd-lbr, and 352 X 240. , and this is on a CD-RW only disc. Neither one of my units recoginizes the CD-R discs, which I find somewhat weird, and perhaps someone can shed a bit of light regarding this anomality.
Any way, I am going to load the following files:
Dvd2avi version 1.76 ( I have read that other versions are either hacks, or they don't work with avisynth 2.08, but do they work with the 2.52 version?)
Latest headac3 version
Avisynth 2.52 with their respective filters. Also need to look for mpegdec3.dll
Latest version of Moviestacker 2.0 Beta 3
Tok version 0.0.5.3. with its extras.
Latest scripts for 2.52
And of course, dvd decrypter, unless someone recommends different software for this function.
Well, I will start as soon as I sent this post, and I beg you to arm yourselfs with a lots of patience, because I am sure that I will be asking a whole bunch of questions. (this of course would be done after reading the guides........... )
Regards
Totonho03
Edit: Sorry I believe that this is the wrong forum for this post, where should I place it? June 11, 9.41 EST

Well guys, I can confirm a thing or two, from what I learned on boulders post here:
http://www.kvcd.net/forum/viewtopic....382&highlight=
I`m now using DVD2AVI v1.77.3, Avs v2.52, the latest "MPEG2Dec3.dll",
and an adaptive script as we speak.
I`ll tell yah...usin` Avs.v2.52 and the Latest MPEG2Dec3.dll...really gave my P4 1.7,
a pretty good speed boost to boot!...

great Osvaldo,
some good reasons:
DVD2AVI & VFAPI Plug-In 1.77.3
launch Chinese/Japanese/English menu (dialog not yet) automatically
The Pentium IV CPU benefits from the SSE2-optimized MPEG2 decoding.
These codes are optimized by Dmitry Rozhdestvensky.
replace Gain control of Luminance Filter with Gamma correction
extend the clipping width from 256 to 512 for HDTV images
You can accurately control the slider by left/right key.
simplify the Audio menu by revised demux routine and support DTS demux
The DTS stream has been verified by Scenarist NT Professional.
minor fix of DirectDraw Overlay display
D2V structure changed
This version is incompatible with obsolete D2Vs.
then....changing to 1.77.3
thanks

Where can I find the 1.77.3 version of the VFAPI plug-in And do I copy that file to the TMPGEnc directory, or what?

Hi ovg64..
You're forgetting that Jorel's also our helper. Remember, he has
a bunch of Ghost imaged OS setups, that he uses to help us out when he
is debugging issues with/for us (in addition to himself)

hi audioslave..
I had ta play a little chicken-sht for ya, between juggling 12 opened browsers,
apps, and codecs and things, I finally got ta test things out for ya
Anyways..
First, if you are refering to creating "psuedo .avi" files, using VFAPI
VFAPIConv-EN.exe or other ie, VFAPIConv.exe, you can use these,
from version v1.03 trough v1.05 w/ no problems
I was able to:
* create a dvd2avi v1.77.3 project file *.d2v
* launch any ie, VFAPIConv-EN.exe / VFAPIConv.exe
* create a psuedo .avi file
* open the psuedo .avi file inside vdub and play (and frameserve etc)
I haven't test v1.77.4 yet, BUT, if you give me a shorter moment, I'll give
it a quick test and report back - K?
