Hi all. Basically my problem is when with encoding some AVI movies using the SKVCD 352x576 PAL template in TMPGEnc the aspect ratio comes out wrong. For example I always try to have finished product with a 16:9 aspect ratio and some end up with the actual black borders within the 16:9 aspect ratio (if that makes sense). So basically I end up with a very thin looking movie. Where am I going wrong, any ideas please!

Are you using AVS scripts? What is the source dimension, what did you fill in tmpgenc as the target aspect ratio and what as the source ratio?
