i have download the kvcd templates and they were saved as text documents in tmpgenc. how can i save them as .mcf? sorry if this is in the wrong forum

Just rename them to .mcf rather than .txt

i have already tried that but it just chnges the name and not the extension

welcome in forum!


try this:
save as:
xxx.mcf and select
all archives (*.*)
(something like this, my windows is in portuguese).
don't save as .txt

I wanted to kick myself when I found out.

When you cut and paste the template to notepad, under the name box,
the SAVE AS TYPE: box defaults to a .txt extension. Use the drop down button and select "all files":
It will then show the other .mcf files in TMPGenc (or wherever you are putting them) and will allow you to save these incredible templates properly.
