in the 'official kvcd specifications' it's advised to use 15?

i'm sorry if this was discussed before but neither thread has been updated with the 'right' setting.

15 is for PAL movies.
12 ( or less) for PAL cartoons or anime.

I thought the GOP was 25 for PAL movies and 12 for PAL Cartoons, with 15 being for NTSC cartoons Please correct me if I'm wrong

i don't want to make it more confusing , but since this is a thread about the gop for the cartoon-type of movies, i think kwag meant that for the likes of 'monsters inc' etc u should use GOP 15. and for anime or 'drawn' cartoons, u should use 12? for PAL anyway.

'kvcd official specifications'
For animation, old cartoons, etc., we recommend a maximum GOP size of 12 pictures for NTSCFilm (23.973fps), 15 pictures for PAL (25fps) and 18 pictures for NTSC (29.97fps).

'latest optimal script'
For Anime/Cartoon material:
Same as DVD clean material, but shorten the GOP to 12 frames (PAL) or 15 (NTSC)
