Well this is multiple amount of questions cause plan on putting 5 seasons of my fav show 80 cd's. They are joined in big files about 650 each in .mpg format. Not quite sure if want spiltter but that's not a concern now.

First what is the easiest way to convert mpg to avi, I used Dr.Divx and took lik 15 hrs. I was thinking about dvd2avi but I never used it seperatly and would need tutorial

Second can you put multiple kvcd encoded files on kvcd? cause I was thinking it only play the first and stop

And back to spiltting part, would it be better keep files as is or spilt them when burn on kvcd, i was gonna try chapter thing on vcdeasy but you can't put begining menu on like nero let you.

Thx in advance

Sorry Big2hd, but you will probably find better answers to this topic at some other site. kvcd.net is not devoted to conversions to divx/xvid formats...in fact, kvcd.net barely tolerates supporting conversions from divx/xvid sources, partly due to the low quality results usually obtained when dealing with these lossy sources.

Yes, you can put multiple kvcd files onto the same disc. Of course, some dvd players may perform differently than others, but for example, mine can play every kvcd file on a disc in consecutive order without any pauses or stops.

It's really up to your own preferences. It may be slightly more work for you to seperate all of the episodes, but only you can say whether or not it would be worth it to you to have them seperated. There are ways to create menu screens with vcdeasy that are far more advanced than Nero's menus. If I'm not mistaken, I think someone even posted a link here recently to a "how-to" guide that is hosted at vcdeasy's website, so you might try looking there for hints if you plan on using vcdeasy.

Good luck,
-d&c

It is absolutely wrong to perform this step - quality degrade very much. Encoding to KVCD compliant ( ) mpeg shouuld be done directly from mpeg sources

And this is also partially wrong !
As everything (vdub, dvd2avi, avisynth...) has a lot of problems to handle MPEG1 sources, sometimes you must convert them to avi by using a lossless codec : huffyuv.
