Hi!
If i use the 352*288 or 352*240 Templates everything works fine.
But if i use the 352*576 or 352*480 Template or higher ones, the moviez are always distorted (verzerrt oder zerquetscht for germans).

What can i do?
I really dont now how to use avisyth or fitcd.
I do not understand the articles.
Please help me

thx

Be more specific, how are they distorted? What do they look like? Squeezed? Stretched? Noisey? Discolored? Rolling? Jumpy?

The H (Horizontal) resolutions are different for a reason. You don't choose one just because it's the one you want, you have to choose the one according to what country you live in. Different TV systems are used, PAL and NTSC.

If you live in the US, Japan, and a whole bunch of other places, choose the template with the H resolution 480, because that's what NTSC uses.

If you live in England and some other places, choose 576, because that's what PAL uses.

This is why I need more information on your "distorted" picture.

If it is vertically stretched (skinny people), most likely you are in a PAL country but are trying to use the NTSC template (h=480) and your TV is trying to stretch it to 576.

If it is vertically squashed (fat people), most likely you are in an NTSC country but trying to use the PAL template (h=576) and your TV is trying to squash it down to 480.

But because I created this answer with such limited information, I could be totally wrong.

Hope this helped.

I think he means that the encodings have 'double' black bars.

Either use FitCD and avisynth or set Video Arrange Method(under advanced) to the right values(trial and error ... but ALWAYS reduce the horizontal value about 32 pixels. It reduces filesize and a normal TV set dont show this part anyway.)

For more information and Links about FitCD, avisynth aso. in german language look here:
