well a bunch of strange diff errors in tmpgenc
when trying to convert my xvids into kvcd 120 min
but after playing around with it for hours
and never getting past the errors
i tryed converting the xvid into divx5 format now it didnt give me errors

i dont understand though
arent divx and xvid mainly diff cause of the audio compressions used?
why would it be giving me problems while trying to encode the video only?

and they were errors like invalid pointer operation and error in ntdll.dll and things like this?

it seems to be working now when converting it from the divx format

are there just issues with the xvid with tmpg or what?

and help or answers would be greatly appreciated

thanx
Tony

Yet another AVI/DivX/XviD/MPEG4 out of place...
Yes there are a lot of problems that you can experience just because of the format you are using.
Why don't you try DVD source for a change?
Maybe you won't experience any problems at all.
Cheers

PS - Next time if your source is still avi try to post in the avi forum instead.

well i am trying to back up ones that ive already done in xvid from my dvd's
and i dont want to have to wait all over again to go from dvd to kvcd
i would rather just take my xvids and convert them

not to mention some of the dvd's are scratched beyond repair anymore

if you have the power could you please or someone else please move this to the right forum

thanx and sorry buddy
