hi

I have converted a few so far,Came out great

I am using tmpgenc, and the skvcd 320x480 template,The same one i used for the other 3 files i have converted

i am trying to convert a xvid file,Doing the same thing i did with the others,Using the wizard in tmpgenc, but its telling me the file is 309 minutes long and it will be over 4 gigs after i am done

the movie is roughly 100 minutes long..any idea why its saying this?

I am definitly a NewB..but have done a few and they came out great...not sure what to do now

thanks for any help

Simple : do not use the wizard !

Use the regular tmpgenc interface, load the template, load the avs script (or load first the xvid then the template if you don't use a script but it's definitely NOT recommanded). and let's go.

Hi
thanks for your reply

I don't use scripts(YET)..no clue how to make one..load one..ect ect.BUT i am going to take some time to learn that soon.

I also tried not using the wizard,For some reason its just making the encoded file huge....maybe something is wrong with this xvid file,It plays fine though..no clue

it would be nice to just have a stand alone dvd player that supported divx/xvid/ogm for idiots like me lol

It seems that you also need a quick "file prediction" lesson. perhaps even before scripts !

Give a look to CQMatic section of the forum.
