Sup all,

I have an apex1100w and im trying to encode Juice Divx. I tried the KVCDx2-CQ-704x480-(NTSCFilm)-PLUS.mcf with 29.97 like it says on the site. Everything seems to work fine except that the sound is out of sync. So i treid using VDub to extract the wav from it and got the same result. I even tried going into setting > advance tab > source range > and changing the Audio gap correct, but its still out of sync. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

PeaCe

Have you tried encoding from another source? Maybe a DVD rip, and see if everything is in sync.

You can bump up the minimum bit rate to 550, max to like 2300, vbv buffer maybe to 48. Encode the movie to the bit rate that the source is, if 23.98 then use it or 29.97 or 25 or whatever it is at. try using vbr cq instead of just cq or vice versa. try using floating decimal dct. or you just might have to encode it in standard vcd. Apex basicly sux from everything
i have heard here so far in the last 4 months. Hope something here helps ya out.

You should be able to fix the problem with the source range setting in tmpgenc. I had the same problem with collateral damage, in avi format it was in sync but when encoded to mpg it turned out just under 7 seconds out of sync. Its just trial and error, it took me at leat ten attemps to get the audio spot on. BE PATIENT
