It is a nice tool. but after cutting with this tool, TMPgenc reported that "xxxx packets cause buffer underflow" when muxing with the mpeg tools. The un-cut files did not have this error when muxing by Tmpgenc.

MPEGvcr also has this problem after cutting. Any idea to get rid of this error?

Maybe..., remux with bbmpeg, setting forced mux rate = 0.

I've been using new Womble Wizard for cutting commercials from PVR captures. Easy to use, fast and preserves original mpeg parameters. You should try it.

Just installed Cuttermaran 1.57 and unfortunately I had to install M$ .NET also for it to run (which sucks to have to install .NET).

Im very impressed with this tool though, it is amazing and I like the fact that it let's you keep the Audio & Video seperate as this makes editing files produced by DIKO so easy to cut.

I was making motion menu's for my DVD authoring and this tool was a breeze to use im very impressed.

The only thing that let me down though was the preview at the bottom to see you cuts I get an error.

When I go to my cutlist and try to preview the cuts I do and that window pops up I press play and I get "Error In the application. Is codec missing?"

Which is strange as I went to codec-download and downloaded the ac3 codec and the ac3 filter tool from there.

Another strange this is if I click the play button on the current frame window the movie and audio plays fine so it is weird why it isnt working for me.

Other than that a great tool.

Zyphon, take a look:

"23.05.2004
Under some circumstances Cuttermaran isn't able to process AC3 audio files. Please download the hotfix from the downloadarea."

did you download that hotfix?

Hi jorel,

yes buddy I did download the ac3hotfix and overwrote the .dll in the programs main folder.

Like I said when Im playing the movie in the current frame window to set my cut points the audio plays back absolutely fine along with the video, I only run into this problem when I want to preview the cuts that I made made in the 'Preview' Button at the bottom right of the screen. The window pops up fine but when I press play I get that error which to me is strange.

Thanks for your help jorel my friend I am at a loss to why it is doing that.

I like this tool very much.

Im hoping maybe Karl can Modify DIKumciser to be able to cut Video only files like .mpv, m1v & m2v & then maybe make a tool that can cut audio files.

If he does this I might try and make a project on Delphi or maybe someone else could make a nice GUI to make another cutting program one that doesnt require the M$ .NET framework.

I was thinking maybe Mplayer could be used for the preview option what do you think?

Hi jorel,

i agree with you my friend, Cuttermaran is a very cool tool and makes editing your video/audio very easy to do.

I love making motion menus using this tool as it is so easy to do and quite a nice GUI.

I like the fact that it lets you input the video/audio seperately although I think it would be nice to have the option to cut Mpegs that have audio included within it but im sure future updates may include this.

Im sure Karl is working on improving DIKumcizer I hope he can make a nice audio cutting tool as well that would be great also.
