We all (most of us) know what the optimal script is but which is the optimal encoder to use with those scripts? In other words: Which encoder produces the best output quality - both MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 (could be different encoders depending on MPEG format I guess) - for the final video file

P.S. Don't know if I posted this in the right place...

One year of presence here and 425 post and you don't have the slighest idea about the answer ?

TMPGENC !
(better in MPEG1 but still fist one in MPEG2).

If you are talking about KDVD, that's not the same thing !

Note: "Video Conversion" is a better forum for that kind of discussion.

Sorry for posting in the wrong place .

@Dialhot
About my question:
Since all these new encoders surfaced I thought that maybe there was an other encoder which did the job better. I though it was a fair question . No need to get upset my friend.

I wasn't upset. I just didn't use smiley to reflect the tone of my voice

I understadn your question but no, there is no best encoder for the moment. There are a lot a promising new encoders but for the moment, TMPGENC is still the first one.
