Hello ALL!

Are there any good charts for making conversions? For example, I have a 512x384 DivX MPEG4 Low 29fps and converted it to 640x480 and used the 704x480 plus template. Is that what I should have done?

Settings:
704x480 29.97fps CQ_VBR 65 300-1600 44k 128 Cust Center 640x480

Is it better to scale up slightly like the above or go down? Here are some more: 512x384, 624x416, 352x272, 416x256, etc...Go up? down?

Does FITCD always correctly tell if it is PAL or NTSC, anamorphic-flag, etc?

Hi reman,
Use FitCD. It will always create your correct aspect from your source. It has never failed on me

Good Morning!

Strange, yesterday it said to make an XVCD of 640x480 and today it has 704x480. BTW 640x480 looked okay! Now the 704x480 shows a 1.33 ratio. Why does the first part 704 say round to 64 when the 480 cell has round to 32

When I switch to VCD FitCD shows: 352x224 ratio = 1.428 but if I manually change it to 240 = 1.33

Good morning reman!, yes, it is that early Wonder what I'm doing up!
Always check that on the far right side of FitCD's screen, it says "error 0%", after you play with the sliders. The 352x224 probably was chosen because your input is Anamorphic.

Well...not exactly.

The original FitCD shows 512x384 29fps, 1:1 monitor, 1.333

Changed accurate to no cropping & it is now 1.333

Resize to 352x224 Shows error 1.4286 + 7.14% BUT if I manually change it to 240 it shows 0% + 1.333.

Note: it did not matter if the setting is accurate OR no cropping there is still an error. BUT NO error if manually set to 240.

If I check the anamorphic boxes the ratios are 1.7778 and 0% IF set to 240 but error -.11% if 224.
