i'm just investigating mencoder but i spend most of my time with correcting the limiting bitrate(s) it just occured to me in a desperate moment whether it's still a 'real' problem. do modern SAPs take as much care on svcd compliancy as the early ones. i know, early models went jerky a/o asynch with 'nonstandard' streams, e.g. with that having bitrate out of the specs. how's it go now ? is it a problem still existing or is it just passed ?
another point : can (& would) sy drop/point/link me to a list of resolutions accepted for svcd ? i know 3-4 only but i bet there is much more. (varying resolution seems to help bitrate control a lot)
thx
