Setting the min Bitrate to 0 is asking for trouble on many standalone players.

Judging quality may be subjective but I cant see how there will be good results with the standard 1-5-2-1 GOP, the default mpeg2 q-matrix and 29.9 fps framerate.

"weird als uhf"? Whats that?

For the sake of objectiveness(?) I encoded some scenes from DVD sources and the quality is so bad I really cant find unoffensive words to describe it.

Edit: For testing I used one of my few NTSC DVDs "Terminator" and an PAL DVD "Apocalypse Now Redux".

Btw.: Im not participating in pointless flames. So if you want to prove that the quality is good(maybe I did something wrong) upload an short sample encoding somewhere. There are lots of free Webspace providers out there ... if you need help setting things up Im glad to help.
