Hola Kwag, somos muchos los que te seguimos en el idioma de cervantes, y ya que no tuviste muy buena acogida en el foro de vcdspain, nos gustaría que creases un foro en castellano, para que nos encontremos todos allí.
Por otro lado quería saber si alguien ha hecho el señor de los anillos en 2 Cds, con KVCDx2, para saber como queda, si cabe , si se puede subir Q, etc.

Que bueno verte por aqui!. "El señor de los anillos" la hice ayer , pero use el KVCDx2 de 352x480, bajando un poco el CQ_VBR de 22 a 17. Cupo perfectamente en dos CD's con audio a 128Kbps. O sea, que te recomiendo que uses esa plantilla. Y si tu DVD es PAL, baja el CQ_VBR como a 16. Tendras un resultado excelente. Sobre el foro en Español, hay que ver, ya que se complica mucho el mantenimiento, y se fragmenta y duplica la información. En confianza me puedes escribir aqui, y mejor directamente por PM.

It's great to see you here. I did "Lord of the Rings" yerterday , but I used the KVCDx2 352x480, and I lowered the CQ_VBR value from 22 to 17. It did fit perfectly on two CD's with audio at 128Kbps. So I recommend that you use that template. If your DVD is PAL, lower the CQ_VBR to around 16. You'll get excelent results. About the forum in Spanish, I have to see, because it makes maintenace very complex, and information will be fragmented and duplicated. You can write to me here,or better yet, PM me directly.

Now to clarify about the VCDSpain. I was kicked out of VCDSpain forum by the owner and administrator, because many people there were asking me questions about KVCD, and I was very corteous answering their posts. But then, I started to get posts from the owner, saying that KVCD was "a copy of CVCD" , and that it was nothing new. So i took my time and posted, the true facts about the templates, and I explained that CVCD is really a non-standard VCD made with variable bit rate. And it is! That's all a CVCD is. There's no GOP changes, no new matrices used. No nothing. Just a VBR VCD. So they jumped on me, and said that KVCD's Q. Matrix was also the same, and is was a false advertizing. So I requested the owner of VCDSpain to immediately erase my user ID, and that I would never go back to VCDSpain's site. And I won't!
So there you have it. Just wanted to make it all clear. I believe that KVCD's are a variant of XVCD's, but they go beyond, "FAR BEYOND" a CVCD, not just in quality, but way lower in file size too, because of our Q. Matrix and modified GOP structure.

Saludos Kwag, vengo siguiendo tu trabajo desde febrero de este año y me parece exelente, no quiero hablar mal de vcdspain por que con ellos aprendi a hacer los respaldos de DVD, pero con tus plantillas he obtenido resultados extraordinarios más con el x3. conchale, de verdad que los de habla hispana necesitamos el foro en castellano, se que lleva más trabajo pero entre todos podemos ayudar....

I have tried the Kwag templates several times giving me excellent results, I have been using them for DVD and Home video backup pruposes giving me a *higher* quality results than VCDspain CVCD format. Too bad for VCDspain

and something to tell you in spanish:

"Deveras pésima actitud por la gente de VCDspain, por cerrarse de esa manera y tratar hostimente a un estusiasta que propone un metodo nuevo, mas eficiente y de mayor calidad para hacer backups... En horabuena que tienes tu propio site Kwag y sigue adelante!!!"
