Actually, there was a Honney Mooners' marathone and I wantched
them all (almost) .."how sweet it is, or was"
didn't do much for the H'ldys. I forged ahead w/ my new found fame..
.. DVD !!
I got an OptoRite 4x (though I've had my share of problems, as a newbie to
this endeavor) and am now slowly starting to understand the nature of all
this DVD stuff :P
I'm making ready for one of my (finally found) WS VHS version of the movie
Star Wars (ben searching almost two years for these tapes) though I only
got one "ANH" it's great (IMO)
.
.
My goal, for this new year is to get ANH on ONE dvd disk. Man, it looks like
I'm not gonna get it on one dvd disk I need the quality, (I have my reasons)
so the bitrate needs to be high. I using CQ.9400x6400.70 and maintaing
the 2:35.1 (or close) ratio. Quality, is very good so far. - - Sorry, not trying
to change the subject by going off-topic - - but that is my NewYear goal
for 2004 !!
.
.
Wish me luck,

glad all went well,,, i picked up another dvdburner, the LG4040b, before the holidays,,to replace my 1x, and its great, done some home movies mainly but it's great having the 4x speed available. mind u , on some burns i had to lower it to 2x or 1x, came across some bad burns,
Tell ya though, kdvd is the way to go,, managed to get bout 8hrs of my buddies wedding video, on one disk, i was gonna cut out the footage of her family too, but ya know,,,
Let's see what 04 has in store for us
