Hi all

A friend of mine has the above dvd player. I have tried kvcd mpeg 1 templates burnt to cdr, but his player will just not read the media. Has anyone had experience with the above player?

Thanks for your info

Hi Adder,

Sony players are picky about media. Try another media brand.

Also older units generally can't read CD-Rs (my old Panasonic couldn't). They will often read CD-RWs, though.

My father-in-law's Sony would read CD-RW and was picky about CD-R's, but the Black CD-R's worked great for him...

The usual CD-R brands that play on Sonys are Princo and Vivastar, but both brands are often hard to get.

Can you name some brands that worked? A friend of mine has the same problem (Sony DAV-S300) and I'm having more and more trouble to find Vivastars or Princo's for her.

Memorex CD-R Black All Use...

Memorex CD-RW HIGH SPEED discs work better than normal CD-RW's

also I would try burning at a low speed like 4x
