hi there

i was wondering if anyone who has a dvd player wich doesn`t support svcd ever tried to create a mpeg 2 kvcd cd and found out it didnt work

has anyone of you tried this method you have a mpeg 2 kvcd videostream and an mp2 audiostream and multiplexing it as an videocd non standard with tmpeg encoder the resulting file won`t play in windows mediaplayer but when you insert it in youre dvd player it works tried it on my philips dvd 710 and it works get the movie going with some errors wich i am trying to resolve

Thats the "header trick" that can sometimes work on players that don't support SVCD...it won't work perfectly on all players though.

It's probably because you don't have MPEG-2 codecs installed. If you install WinDVD, then you can play it in WMP too.

there is a special mpeg2 plugin for WMP, you must install to be able to watch MPEG2 with WMP
