I've got this movie, and it looks well in AVI format. It lasts 68 minutes, so it would be possible to encode it like a standard VCD; but I wanted to keep the resolution of 420 x 320, so I tried KVCD, and the mpeg file looks well, too.

The muxing is allright (I use tmpgenc itself to mux it as SVCD), the burning is allright, too. But when I play the SVCD on the TV, the image only appears on the upper half of the TV screen, and it's very fuzzy. The audio is good.

I tried a lot of times; the result does not change. Any idea?

Thanks,

Andy

The resolution sounds weird, try the 544x480/576 template!
Download the compatibility file here, http://www.kvcd.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2464
Then you see which resolutions work in your tv!

It worked! Thanks.
BTW, the video quality is not very good (also in the original avi file), and that's the reason I'd like to keep the original resolution of 432 x 320: any change lets the quality get even worse. Isn't a way to use the template with a different resolution?

Andy

Yes, you could just use AddBorders() to add the right borders to resize it to 480x480 which seems the closest resolution, but you'd have a lot of black borders...
