Ok First off a have a dvd player(norcent 300)which plays all kvcd's so recently bought a norcent 311 which only plays 352x240 and returned for another norcent 300,got it home and to my suprise they must have changed something with this model also because it will only play kvcd 352x240.

Anyway on to my question if it plays svcd's which i assume are 480x480,why can't i use kvcd 480x480 template.

The thing i'm trying to achieve is to make 1 kvcd to play on both machines but i would like a higher resolution then 352x240.

Do you encode in MPEG1 or MPEG2 ?

Did you try things like "header tricks" (muxing in SVCD but burning in VCD, or the opposite) ?

Di you try to combine MPEG1 with a muxing in SVCD ?

You see, there is a lot a things to try
