The DMR-E20 and the DMR-E80 do.
I've tested all KVCDs (MPEG-1), and they work great.
They don't play S(K)VCDs (MPEG-2)
I think they do play MPEG-2 if burned as VCD, but not burned as SVCD.
I assume the E50 will, because they all share basically the same decoding circuitry.

Hi Kwag

Thanks for your answer. That's good news

I've seen your sample about your capture test with dmr 20

It seems good for the 6 hour mode

Have you tried to capture from a vhs? Does it clean the video?

You bet
And the DVD created from the VHS looks MUCH better
That's one of the selling points about the DMR series. Because of the internal TBC ( Time Base Corrector ) and built-in filters, you don't see any VHS head jitter on the created DVD.
It's really an amazing machine

Do you mean movies that you have on your PC
How are you going to get them out of your PC and record them to the DMR
Did I understand that correctly
If that's the case, you'll have to "playback" your movie in your PC with a card that has S-Video of Composite video output, so you can record the video in the DMR

The MA script
But if your shows are telecined, you should use Telecide() and Decimate() to bring back the original frame rate ( Inverse Telecine).
If they are 29.97fps Interlaced, then check the "convert60ito24p" script.
If you are PAL, that's another story

Edit: Seems you are in NTSC land

So,
Ara
How's the machine working out for ya?

I bought one of these units and just got delivered over the weekend.
just barely hooked it up...and im dying to get some old vhs tapes recorded onto dvdram and kvcd'ing them or kdvd'ing them....

Seems very promising. Next year it'd be nice to upgrade to a unit with a harddrive though.
