I have JVC XV-S60BK DVD player and would like to
hear form someone who has experience playing
99 min CDR's on this player. I can't seem to get any
info from the manufacturer, so before I fork out money
for a new CDR burner, I'd like to know if there will be a problem.

Thanx

hi there,

probably you won't get any specific reply
on this very rare combination.

but a general
answer might help:

If there is just 1 LASER in the player for
CDs and DVDs and you can read all other
kind of CDs the 99s will most likely work too.

Just buy 2 CD99s and try to burn it on your
CD burner. Nearly any unit should work in overburn mode but probably only until
700 MB. But that will do for a decision.

I know of only 2 different brands of 99s.
The quality of both is really not exciting ;-(
HQ brands are not available AFAIK
because these discs are out of spec.

On the other hand the DVD-Rs are available starting at about 3 $/Euro.
Reasonable new DVD-burners are
available starting at about 300 bucks,
probably 230 early next year?!?

So how will you decide?

Obrigado
