This resolution works in many many DVD players (all APEX players).
23.976fps works wery vell at that resolution. Decomb (Telecine) might
give these problems sometimes.

well, here is what i did:

copied second moive VOB files from smartripper into first movie
after renaming them. so that VTS_01.VOB TO VTS_05.VOB ARE FROM
first dvd and vts_06.vob to vts_09.vob...

FYI, these type of players also play x3 at 720x480 even better.

I am getting same or better compression with CCE and CCE is doing
it in REALTIME with no AviSynth filters used.

Compression is not comparable to KVCD but helps.

APEX AD-1500 plays KVCDx3 at 544x480 mpeg-2 very well like other apex. Supports 23.976fps as well.

I am successful with wide-screen content upto 120min in 1 cd.
