Give Zoom Player Standard...
Give Zoom Player Standard (http://www.inmatrix.com/files/zoomplayer_download.shtml) a try, it's a great player and it will play your .mpeg file.

You could also use any other media player that is capable of playing mpeg1 or mpeg2
Windows Media Player
WinDVD
Zoomplayer
etc..
