crc - i have been getting a few of these lately, both on rented retail dvds and on home made rw media.

playing the movie seems to be fine, say in powerdvd.

but when i either copy the video_ts file to my hard drive or rip it, i get the crc error.

so if there really is a crc error, how come powerdvd "overcomes" it?

is there a way of getting the data onto my hard drive, even if there is crc?

is it my pioneer 111D? though it seems fine most of the time.

any ideas people?
