Although anti-aliasing is a good intention, it doesn't work in practice. It's intended to prevent screen flickers. With more and more folks using LCDs and better tubes now, it's not as big an issue as it was 5-6 years ago, when the software was first developed (settings has been there since V1 betas, now on V2.2).

Once the program is open (and maybe once a project is open or created, not sure), go to the preferences. It's the little hammer and wrench icon.

Turn off the Anti-Flicking filter. Uncheck it.

That should stay that way from now on, but check it each time you make a project, just to be sure.
