Hello everyone,

I was wondering if any measures are being taken to ensure digitalfaq forum (and posts) preservation in the future.
Is there any backup plan in place to prevent data loss in case of forum shutdown?

Would love any information on this, wouldn't want to lose this much shared knowledge.

Thanks a lot

Acacio

The databases are backed up daily. The attachment files lag, but are backed up as well. Sadly, AI bots have stolen so much content from the web, that it is "backed up" in a way, though it hallucinates queried output.

I have no plans to shut down the site. Even if/when I retire from video, I see no reason to shut the site down. And I also have a "digital life" will in place, though I may change it in years, to have different beneficiaries.

This year will actually see some transitions in content, organization, focus. To some degree, that will future-proof it, and on a new platform.
