JVC used to run a website all about the VHS standard. Some neat stuff in there about the tape formats, particularly DVHS. The "Future of Visual Media" article from 1996 was a fun read in particular. Its interesting to see there were "clear" VHS tape shells and full label shells without the reel windows. I haven't seen any of those in the wild.

I used to have lots of window-less shells. Never saw a clear one, but did see some colored ones!
