I need to see a photo.
The problem with thrift store blank VHS tapes is you have no idea if those were in a closet for the past 10+ years, in the attic, the garage, etc. The same is true of film....

All I can think of is using them as a tape...
All I can think of is using them as a tape rewinder/previewer, in order to save wear on a high end deck.
That and maybe the mono audio quality would be better than some other models?
