i think i will try the 9v with a uk plug , rather than the stepdown transformer.

Elite Video BVP4+ UK Power adapter

just picked up a BVP4+ from ebay. it came with power adapter (US plug).
my question to UK owners is : should i use the supplied adapter with a Stepdown transformer ? or because...
