VirtualDub freeze, fails after many successful captures?

After 50+ successful captures from VHS to .avi via VirtualDub 1.9.11, the same setup all of sudden cannot complete a full capture. Everything starts fine, all the normal specs/capture info show up...

Oh I get what your saying now but I have no idea why. This was captured right from the source tape with the output to 720x480 using the Vdub guide in the forum. What would cause that?

I was capturing to a large external drive, switched to an internal and that seems to have cleared it up! You and billct97 both mentioned that and I appreciate all the help!

Thank you. The audio playback has been unchecked on all these. I turned off the display and have no histogram, no change. I uploaded the last test run screenshot based on those changes.

352 - got up to 22% but settled in around 9%
