a decent parameter would be number of imported machines, if it's small, and they didn't work 24/7 then...

it's not even about composite-only vcrs, i think vhs-decode can be sharper only if it's doing some sharpening on it's own, simillar to how vcrs will do sharpening (or "peaking" as it's called in vcr...
