Hello,
I'm going to swap out the fan on a Prime Image Digital 50III. I recently purchased the device for art related video things and would like something quieter but still doing its job. I know that pro broadcast rack equipment from the 90s is very loud and hot, this one is just quit a bit louder than my other gear form the era.
My question is regarding the rpms needed for a TBC from the 90's. What would you all suggest as a proper rpm speed for the amount of heat something like this would generate?
The current fan info I have is only what the sticker states, 24dc, 0.16a. Its a 2 pin fan and basically 40mmx40mmx20mm.
I haven't found info on the RPM and I'm not sure how to find out. Is there a calculation of the voltage and amps that would give the RPM of a DC fan? The more amps would make it spin faster right?
I've found replacements online with various rpms, I'm just trying to balance noise vs effectiveness and don't want to install something under powered for the job.
Thank you for your input and suggestions.
