I have noticed that after VirtualDub2 there is texture loss in some textures. I was wondering if this is normal also if its not normal what can I do to prevent the texture loss? The yellow circles in the image show examples of the differences. The one on the right is the one after VirtualDub.

I think we'd need to see the different filtering/deinterlacing settings to get an idea of what is leading to that. Guessing it is some sort of heavy denoising or perhaps encoding to a lower resolution or low bitrate, but I'm no expert on Virtualdub.
