hey guys,

lately I was trying to prove that MP4 which captured by Any usb A\D is the same with PCIe AVI

I have captured both videos and I saw many differnces in Numbers , like size 1 Gb vs 60 Gb
also the bitrate 3400 vs 35000 . but in watchin in the laptop , all were the same I really do not why should I go for extreme if the quality is same as watching . or the AVI give us more space to edit and apply filter without loosing any data
if some some one has knowledge about that plz share it with us .

By the way , all setup are one .... result one MP4 and one AVI .
so all had been processed in same HW but only the result of extension

mp4 Versus AVi mean nothing. You don't say what codec was used etc...

We recommand AVI lossless and Y'CrCb 4.2.2 color space
1) Lossless (a.k.a very light compression) where each frame is a keyframe (it contain all information)
2) 4.2.2 for color accuracy (that's the minimum for pro level)

Do it right the first time, that's my advice

thank for your apply , I did it actually ,
I have captured avi 4.2.2 lossless , but my question was there is no differneces between avi lossless and MP4 lossy format . is it normal ? or must not be capture with same HW to get the different result.

Sorry for this question , u mentioned that each frame as a keyframe. what kind of information has and
what is different with Lossy format
