Anti-static bags may help. But likely you already have a lot of aluminum or plastic around each drive, due to the enclosure, and that can already act like a barrier to static.
Air tight is never good for anything. I breed moisture. Sure, put it in a box or drawer, mostly to avoid dust. Hard drives are not sealed either. There are tiny pin-sized air holes. What you don't want to do is have drives sitting out where dust and daily particles get in them and on them.
No special case or storage is needed, though I've seen some nifty things in the past.
Amazon and
Newegg, as well as Fry's and Microcenter, are where I usually see them. I don't recall anything offhand. Just "hey, that's neat" and then I don't buy it.
Wood or cardboard is best. No cloth, or carpet, or anything like that.
I store most of my drives in a desk drawer where I'm currently sitting. That's all that's in the drawer: hard drives.
