Any idea what this test equipment is for?

I work at a television station and I found this stuff among old Sony parts and things. I tried a cursory Google search but couldn't find any mention of them.

Pictured:

A "Pinch lever adjustment jig", labeled JD-002, or J-6150-020-A. The device seems to take four AA batteries. I'm not sure how this is used.

A "Back tension adjust" jig, labeled TD-058, or 3-702-216-01.

And something which I'm supposing is another type of jig, labeled TD-3001, or J-6130-010-A. I think that might be a typo, and could instead be J-6130-001-A.

Anyway, I'm just trying to figure out what these are for. I also found some other assorted tools, but these baffle me the most.

These seem to be parts of the testing tools for tape back tension, Those dummy battery packs are probably for testing remote controls or maybe powering up remote controls from an external power source.

That metal cassette shaped thing is used to align some stuff in the mechanism, not sure what the exact adjustment it's used for though. I've seen similar things mentioned in some service manuals.

If I have any spare parts, they're going to be used to service this equipment.

Hopefully I can find a mention of these tools in a service manual or something. I'm not sure what specific units or *types* of units they're meant to be used with. I have some Betacam and U-Matic decks, and the U-Matic only work *occasionally*.

I had an opportunity to place them into a (currently nonfunctional with an error 01) Sony BVU-950. They fit like a glove. I have a (intermittently functional) VO-9800 that I can try, and a PVM-2800. By then I'm going from U-matic to Betacam.

Unfortunately I lack service manuals for these, so I'm not sure how to proceed. It is cool though.
