Hey guys!
I snagged a Panasonic AG 7350 a couple weeks ago and am trying to get it back into working order. I had finally got the replacement belt in that I ordered, but was bummed to find that I got an E-5 error when trying to play a tape, then later an E-3 error after trying to load the tape a few more times in the hopes that the E-5 error would disappear after so many years of unuse.
I’m trying to find any video or helpful resources on how to unstick some of the stuck components (what those components are I’m not quite sure, I’m only going off what the manual says would cause the E-5 and E-3 errors). Additionally I’d love to get some direction on the best way to manually eject a tape as the last attempt that caused the E-3 error had stopped the machine from ejecting the loaded tape.
I’m finding some helpful information online but some seems to contradict the rest, so I’m hoping to find someone that knows their way around this machine. From what I can find the machine doesn’t have a typical K mechanism which would be much easier to service with info online, but instead has something different altogether which is making me second guess all the info I’m finding. I’m happy to say that the tape mechanism is the thing in the machine I’m least familiar with, as I’m very proficient with soldering and feel good about anything else that may be wrong with this machine. I’d rather not break my first “nice” VCR so I figured I’d ask here if anyone had any advice!
Thanks for reading!
