Capture Using VirtualDub with Hauppauge USB Live 2?

When I select Hauppauge as my AUDIO capture device, I lose my video display in VirtualDub window. I have to choose "Capture Device" to maintain my video display. Will this cause my video & audio to be out of sync. Why when I choose Hauppauge as audio capture device I lose my video display? Thank you.

Using Preview mode, not Overlay?
Did you look at the decent VirtualDub guide in the forum, written by sanlyn?

If I choose Hauppauge as my audio capture device, I do no get a display in either Preview or Overlay.
