Hi, I am able to capture using VirtualDUb (1.9.11+Filters downloaded from DFAQ) on a Win7 machine, but then if I attempt to do the same with VirtualDubMod I get the Blue Screen of Death immediately.

On Win10, I am able to capture using VirtualDub (1.9.11+Filters downloaded from DFAQ), but when I stop capturing I get an application crash that doesn't kill VirtualDub, just kills the capture window with an error message. VirtualDubMod gives the BSOD on Win10 as well.

Is VirtualDubMod the one that has all the pre-loaded filters and goodies referenced on this site?

Don't use the mod version to capture. It's for special editing uses only. The reason you probably get a BSOD is that it would interact with DirectShow differently that the normal version. And newer Windows OS have crippled DirectX/Show/etc. It probably wants to use something that is not present.

Win10 is not a video-friendly system. Not editing, capturing, authoring, etc. Just watching streaming -- Netflix, Youtube, etc. The OS was made for tablets, and to use the internet.

1.9.x is ideal for capturing.

For some reason, 1.10.x added some oddities.

When it comes to capturing, WinXP is best, Vista or 7 (depends on card) is next best. Remember that some cards can only run on XP. The ATI 600 USB is confirmed to install and work on Win7/8/10, but it may also be very dependent on the graphics cards in use. Lots of troubleshooting will be needed, process of elimination.
