I think you mean "authoring"', not authorizing.

Well, there's Scenarist UHD. Better think about that second mortgage and some pro training to get into UHD. Not for the faint of heart. You might be able to sell your car and get enough for the hardware. If your mouth is watering while you think about how your home tapes will look in 4K, think again: they will look like crap.

I am looking to transfer consumer 4K / uhd to Blu-ray.

I do have a

I7 7700
AMD RX 580 8 gigabyte
256 SSD
2x 3 terabyte hard drives 7200 rpm
16 Gigabytes of DDR4 2400 mhz ram

Blu-ray burners capable of 4K burning is not too expensive being that they are new.

Since you already have the info and the hardware, why don't you get the authoring software? The aforementioned Scenarist is one source, Indigo UHD is another. There are authoring programs listed all over Google, and they're pretty much alike. You'll have to set up with a provider to get the stuff.

Your 4K consumer video might be UHD compatible, or it might not. Just because it says 4K doesn't mean it meets the specs. Some basic specs: http://www.projectorreviews.com/home...-now-complete/. There are several authoring apps advertised everywhere, two of which were already mentioned. What's holding you back?

The only vendors of 4k UHD authoring apps today are professional outfits. There is no consumer-level UHD authoring available, like something from Adobe or SONY, and it was something of a stretch to call them "pro" apps anyway. The pro products are reviewed in the journals and most have trials available, but you have to contact pro vendor partners or the makers themselves to get a handle on what they can do. They all do the same thing and all have the same encoding requirements. You'll never know until you get your hands on them.

[EDIT] BTW, one company already mentioned (Scenarist) is an old-line outfit that's been around for a long time. Why not start with them?
