I have read loads on this and just need to confirm what the best method is of resizing a PAL capture of 720x576 (thats been deinterlaced) to 4:3 1440x1080, without cropping away actual footage
This is what I have come up with and hoping this is ok
1. add a resize filter and crop the sides by 8 pixels each for the overscan

2. add another resize filter and crop top and bottom etc

3.then letterbox/crop to size 704x576

4. add another size filter to letterbox to aspect ratio 4:3 which makes it 768x576

5. then another resize to 1440x1080
