I have a JVC V10U that dropped frames and eventually stopped capturing a tape which captured w far fewer issues on a VCR lacking the TBC/DNR. So, I figure I should clean the heads of the JVC.
I have a pack of Zeiss disposable lens wipes that I thought would be a good option from my research, but I wanted to confirm since this VCR is a good one. Below is what Zeiss has on the back of the box, but the short summary is the wipes
- ingredients are "water, isopropyl alcohol, proprietary detergents and preservation"
- and they claim "lint and ammonia free" & "non-abrasive, soft, micro-fine tissue"
Thanks for any help!! And here's the rest of what the box says:
* Professional cleaning solution
* Gentle and thorough cleaning
* Easily remove smudges and dirt for a streak-free clean
Suitable for:
* All glass and plastic eyeglasses and sunglasses (particularly effective for high quality, coated precision lenses)
* Safety and sports goggles
Advisory:
* On glossy surfaces, test a small area first.
* Single use only, please use new wipes as needed.
* A dirty or dry wipe can scratch.
* Not for use on contact lenses.
* Lint and ammonia free
* Non-abrasive, soft, micro-fine tissue
* Individually packed Lens Wipes for at home, work, school or on-the-go
* Other optics including lenses on cameras, binoculars and microscopes
* Safe for use on anti-reflective lens coatings

Do not get in eyes. If in eyes, rinse thoroughly with water.
* Keep out of reach of children.
