Thanks for replying KWAG,

Yeh im using Virtual Dub following the dummies guide to avi 2 kvcd.

I still have the mp2 file on my system incase there is something i can do with it.

However when i burned the movie to a disk my dvd player wouldnt play the sound either.

I presume i have to get some kind of codec on my system for it to work.

Am i right or living on a prayer?

Thanks again

Did you downsample the audio to 44.1Khz
That could be the problem
Maybe you didn't, and the audio is at 48Khz

I just opend virtual dub after starting again from scratch,

I got this nominal message,

"VirtualDub has detected an improper VBR audio encoding in the source avi file and will rewrite the audio header with standard CBR values during processing for better compatability. This may introduce up to 38365 ms of skew from the video stream. If this is unacceptable , decompress the *entire* audio stream to an uncompressed WAV file............"

The message goes on forever, would this be anything to do with my problem?

Also when i open the file finished mpg file i created in kvcd it tells me the audio is MPEG2.0 112kbps

With that in mind should i take action in anything?

Thanks KWAG

When you extract the audio with Vdub, make sure you use "Full processing mode" on the audio tab.
Then encode your audio with HeadAC3he. You shouldn't have any problems then.

Ok thanks i will remeber that,

The thing is ive never used headache b4,

Im converting this avi movie using the idiots guide at this url

http://www.kvcd.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5769

I have done it three times now following it to the letter.

Im not sure what im doing wrong at all.

Also in the guide there is no mention about Headache so it will be a program i am new to..

What guides or tuts are there that you consider being the best or atleast reliable?

Thanks

Hi DerekBarton,

Got to www.kvcd.net and look under "Articles".
There are many guides there.
