I ahve this same problem. Only way to get proper working 23,976 video is to encode normally 23,976 (interlaced) and run pulldown.exe to add those pulldown flags.

I dont understand anything about these predicting methods, but is it possible to some sort of avisynth script jump around vob randomly to archieve same effect ? That would save a lot of space :)

Well I made a decision !! I predicted the movie...

Well I made a decision !! I predicted the movie to with destination 352x576 and 90min CD and got CQ 70 ! Now I am happy :)

Nice work ! But what about GripFits dest_anamorphic=true option.

I have done many skvcds (2 CD) with anamorphic picture. No need to play with TVs zoom button :)
