I've not had a case rust before. Only when cases are stored in the garage for 5+ years, have I seen rust. And it's hot in Texas. The paint on cases acts as one protection. And most are made of aluminum, which doesn't really rust, and does not corrode that easily.

This is what I'm currently using: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811129066

We have 5 cases like this. All have been excellent for years.

that Coolermaster is a cheapo case - plastic and steel

the Antec is a decent case

i have a Corsair Vengeance C70 for my gaming PC
and a Raidmax Iceburg (3mm thick all aluminum) for my capture PC

if you are worried (and you seem to be) find yourself a Zalman Zmachine or Fatal1ty
either of those could probably survive armageddon

i would be more worried about the electrical parts if you are going to expose your computer to moisture

computers are not made to be wet - any steel case is going to rust inside if wet unless you paint it.

keep it dry - buy a de-humidifier or air conditioner

Very few steel cases are left on the market. They were usually galvanized (zinc plated). Today its mostly cheap aluminum. While aluminum is a fairly reactive metal, it creates a protective oxidation layer on the surface which prevents further reaction.

Back when I serviced machines, the "worst case" I saw was a machine installed near an indoor swimming pool. The environment was one of high humidity mixed with not so pleasant chemicals (bromine/chlorine). The case completely rusted out inside, but for the most part it kept on working aside from the hard drive. It was in service for about 3 years before it failed.

there are plenty of steel cases still available - infact more so than aluminum
my Corsair C70 is still current production and is steel

galvanized is a layer of zinc applied to steel to resist rust.

unless you live in the rain forest you need not worry
and if you do just buy a de-humidifier like i suggested

I mean if the galvanized steel gives protection to not oxidize, do not rust and do not corrode

oxidization, rust and corrosion are all the same thing
those are what galvanization protect from.

again any PC should be kept away form excessive moisture
moisture is bad for everything , not just the case

1 how should I call a word for rust, corrosion and rust?

3 The My Case Cooler Master Elite 335U is SECC or galvanized?

SECC is the same as galvanized steel?

My Elite 335U inside it has parts that are not fully painted and you can see a layer in shiny silver color, what is it? is already zinc or steel? those points where there is no ink will corrode the case?
