Here are some tentative rough mock-ups.

There are a few more, but they're slight variations of the above.

++++++++

I'm also considering making the forum open to anybody that wants to pay a $25 annual donation.

In fact, a $25 annual donation would get you access to the following features:
- user forum
- download archive (old/outdated free software, hard to find freeware)
- sample clips archive (large video/audio clips that show restoration before/after)
- ability to post comments on the blog (if the tech will allow this)
- access to some premium video guides (in addition to the free text/image guides already found on the site)

Sort of a premium site member access.
I'd use the Paypal subscription service.
Trying to think of a few more ways to stabilize site finances AND offer new services. In order for the site to be upgraded further, more funding is needed to pay for the infrastructure.

++++++++++++++++

I'm also open to suggestions on forum color scheme changes/alterations.
