Hello!

I own many Sony VCRs and a common issue I run into it that the ‘arm assy, rvs brake’ is always broken where the arm and spring meet. Over the years the tension breaks the nub that holds it together. My question was if anyone knows where I could order replacements or have a business 3D print them? I was thinking maybe get a micro screw and screw it into the side to reattach the spring.

Or should I not worry about this part. I’m not entirely sure that that part does, is it necessary for properly playback? Thanks!

Not sure if it's going to be in the way but you can drill a small hole and make a strong metal hook in the shape shown in the attached illustration, It doesn't have to be closed as shown, it can have open ends as long as it doesn't bend when the spring is attached to it.
