I was reading through several articles on the best composite/tuner/s-video capture cards, and I picked what it says on the tin. I've been hearing conflicting reviews about its capability, though.

The unit is complete in box, with all accessories/driver discs. I also have a dedicated XP machine with an AGP slot.

Should I try to cancel the order and get a different AGP AIW card instead? I'm using this card for 3/4" U-Matic, VHS, and 8mm tape digitization.

Thanks!

I should also mention that the biggest issues I'm looking to solve are audio drift-desync.

What is the full workflow?
You need actual TBC, not ES10/15 or TBC(ish).

If 128 Pro, must have 32mb graphics RAM minimum.

There are better ATI AIW, but it's not completely unusable. Just some quirks, and it may fight you at times.

Which card would you say is the best for such capturing? I do not consider myself having a capture setup at all. It's a mono-only 1986 camcorder, and I have a newer Panasonic Dynamorphous, and a few other ones, paired to an EZ-cap-esque clone.

I'd like to start with fixing the audio, then get the best capture card that's friendly to capturing these formats.

Thanks

OK, the RAGE 128 PRO I bought has exactly 32 mb of RAM, but if there's a better card that I won't have to fight with or put up with issues while a better one is around is preferable. I've got a 2-grand tax return, and hundreds of unique tapes to rip. I'd very much like to make sure that I can at least try to get the most effective equipment, starting with the card itself.
